It looks as though Justin Bieber has got a long career ahead of him as his mentor Usher has revealed that the 16-year-old has "so much in store for the future."

Usher revealed MTV News: "As far as music and entertainment, that's the begining.

"There's so much more in store for the future, or at least there's a ton of things we can do and will, and with the support of his fans who will continue to just grow and grow and grow."

Having achieved so much at the age of 16, it doesn't seem that Justin will be slowing things down anytime soon, with his 3D movie, Never Say Never out next year.

The U Got It Bad singer also revealed that he admires Justin's "excitement and innocence."

"His excitement and innocence in it. And I don't mean that in a light way because I think that he's absolutely enjoying every moment of it, as any young man his age would, but in a different way because (of) the hard work that has gone in and led to the dream that has become a reality.

"And every time you have an opportunity do something incredible, I tell him to do his best and be conscious that what you're doing today should last forever and eternity."

Dan Kanter

For the millions of fans who buy Justin Bieber’s albums, get tickets to his concert and support the singer through their undying loyalty, there seem to be just as many who think the young pop star is gimmick. No one knows just how untrue this is better than his Musical Director, guitar player and close friend, Dan Kanter.

Through a chance encounter an MuchMusic (that’s right, we’re totally claiming bragging rights on this friendship), Dan and Justin met, meshed, and the rest is musical history. Touring the world together, playing SNL, Wembley and more, these two Canadians have taken the world by storm. Dan, an Ottawa native who is working on his thesis while on the road with Justin (the topic? The process of developing Justin’s pop arena show, from a musical director’s perspective), has developed a following of fans all his own. Two Bieber fans in Boston even went as far as writing and performing a song as an ode to the guitar player, which Justin now performs to the chagrin of Dan during sound checks. I’d link the video here, but I think it would end my friendship with Dan. I’m sure you can find it on YouTube.

Dan’s wedding this fall to Canadian blogger and fashion line owner, Yael Latner, made headlines when their wedding singer turned out to be the very same performer that won four American Music Awards earlier this week. Fresh off their big AMA win, Justin and Dan were in town this week to play to the home crowd at the ACC. We sat down with Dan to talk about My World Acoustic, which hits stores this Friday, fashion, performing and of course, the biggest craze to come out of Stratford. Ever.

Justin Bieber has announced that he is donating a portion of proceeds from his new acoustic LP to children's hospitals in America.

The U Smile singer has teamed up with charity, Children's Miracle Network, to launch the fundraising campaign, where the 16-year old will hand over cash made from the sales of My World Acoustic, when it is released tomorrow in the US.

Speaking of the campaign on Twitter, Justin explained: "I am in the position to give back thanks to my fans and God. I wrote (track) Pray thinking I wanted to help others and I feel like I have a responsibility to do so."

He added: "What is the point of doing all this if you can’t make a difference in others’ lives? This album is a gift to my fans and the money raised from it allows us all to help out."

Justin also revealed this week that he has joined the It Gets Better Project, by recording a video message for the anti-bullying campaign.

In the clip, the 16-year old speaks directly to the bullies, claiming it's "not cool" to pick on people and encourages those being bullied to seek help.

JB, who recently claimed he has been a victim of bullying himself, states: "I just wanted to say there's nothing cool about being a bully."

"If you're getting bullied, make sure to tell someone and, you know, it gets better and if you're a bystander, make sure to step in and, you know, help out."

The likes of US President Barack Obama, Katy Perry and Ke$ha have also recorded anti-bullying messages for the It Gets Better project.

New Justin bieber movie poster
New Poster of Justin Bieber's Movie Is Scraps of His Childhood Photos

A new one-sheet is released to promote "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never". Making its way out via Yahoo! Movies, the poster is dominated with purple, which is Justin Bieber's favorite color. At the center of the poster is a shape of the 16-year-old star with scraps of his pictures from his childhood to today surrounding it.

"Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" is made to "tell the underdog story of where he [Bieber] came from," helmer Jon Chu said. He additionally insisted the film will not be a "typical concert film and it's not going to be a biopic ... but it is about his life."

The Canadian singer himself stated, "Everyone thinks this is going to be another 3-D concert movie, but it's anything but that. It's a story of how my family, friends and the fans helped me get here and everyday are helping me live an impossible dream. That's why I want them to see it first."

To be released by Paramount Pictures on February 11, 2011, just in time for Valentine's Day, the movie will first be previewed in a sneak peek event on February 9, 2011. Fans in the U.S. and Canada can get a look at the movie in 3-D as well as official movie merchandise and purple 3-D glasses with $30 per pack. More info about the event can be seen on jb3dpreview.com.
