Justin Beiber is preparing for a very busy week ahead. The 16-year-old pop star is used to juggling a hectic schedule, but things have been unusually crazy for the "Baby" singer.

After a week of rehearsing in the Bahamas, Justin is preparing for his performance on the Much Music Video Music Awards (MMVAs). But Justin will hopefully be doing more than just working on Sunday night. The talented musician is nominated for three awards.

Justin will have home field advantage this weekend as he competes against a number of talented artists at the Canadian awards show. Justin is nominated twice in the category for International Video of the Year by a Canadian. Justin has a strong chance to win the award as the odds are in his favor. But, don't rule out his fierce competition. The "Baby" singer will have to defeat Avril Lavigne and Drake to win the award. Drake is also nominated twice in this category.

Justin is also nominated for the UR Fave Video Award and the UR Fave New Artist Award. If he does win tomorrow night, Justin will be on hand to accept his award. The "Somebody To Love" singer is preparing to leave for Canada later today. He expressed his excitement on Twitter this morning. Justin tweeted:

"CANADA here we come!!! MMVA's this weekend....let's celebrate!"

Justin won't be home for long. The teen pop star kicks off his My World tour on June 23.

EXAMINER

In town for the Much Music Video Awards, Justin Bieber was spotted touching down in Toronto, Canada on Saturday (June 19).

Looking sporty in his Adidas tracksuit, the "One Time" singer waved to his fans as he trekked through the Pearson International Airport.

Always keeping busy, Bieber has also announced plans to join Cameron Diaz, Robert Redford, Kathy Griffin and Sting for a Gulf Aid Telethon.

Airing on Monday night (June 21) at 8PM EDT, all of the big name star will be sitting down with Larry King for interviews and taking viewers calls and donations at the phone banks.

Usher: Justin Bieber more versatile than Lady Gaga and Jonas Brothers

Usher – who has mentored 16-year-old Justin Bieber since he was discovered on video-sharing website YouTube – has praised the ‘Baby’ hitmaker’s “versatility” and thinks he offers much more than other pop artists.
“Justin Bieber is someone I’m not just endorsing as a talent, he’s someone I’m nurturing as an artist. “He’s my artist. He’s an incredible talent. He’s a young man who I think represents all of what’s needed in this time to be an artist and be successful. You look at the different genres of music now, and it’s either electric dance or acoustic sound — you’ve got the Jonas Brothers, and you’ve got Lady Gaga. I think that Justin’s able to do all of it — because he plays piano, he plays guitar, he plays drums, he can dance — so a lot of it is easy to pick when I introduce a different movement to him.”

Justin, 16, is delighted that Usher has taken such an interest in helping with his career and always listens to his advice. He told In Touch Weekly magazine: “I’m very blessed to have him, because he’s been through it all — he basically started at my age. “I have this ability to ask him questions. He told me to stay humble and stay grounded, which is very important.”

CELEBRITY DIRTY LAUNDRY

There's one thing that's for sure during his concert, a lot of crotch grabbing. 1:56 onwards is constant crotch grabbing.  :o

Will you be going to his concert?

Are the Jonas Brothers getting too old for the biz? Research at the Disney Channel, uncovered by The Daily Beast, says that Nick, Joe, and Kevin are taking a hit in album sales and ratings for their Disney show, "JONAS."

"I think it's something of a changing of the guard in terms of a teen pop crush," said Billboard editor Ann Donahue. "Justin Bieber is definitely the next new thing and is overshadowing the Jonas Brothers." The Disney research says that 8 and 9 year old girls still love the Jonas Brothers, but 9 and 10 year old girls are embarrassed to talk about them.

While Bieber might have Usher (and Twitter) behind him, the JoBros have the Disney marketing machine on their side. When the newly revamped version of their show - now called "JONAS LA" hits screens on June 20, Disney execs hope that the Jonas Brothers will become cool again.

Hmm. Don't hold your breath, Mickey Mouse. "The Jonas Brothers aren't 'in' as much anymore," one young girl told Disney. Another said, "I became less of a fan when 'Twilight' came out, and now I'm more into Taylor Lautner."

If Disney fans are looking for "Twilight"-style romance, they're not going to get it with "JONAS LA." The Disney Channel -- which caters to 6-14 year olds -- allows only one kiss per season, so don't expect Joe, Nick, or Kevin to steam up your TV screens any time soon.
