Teen sensation Justin Bieber showed off his love for superman on Saturday (May 8th), as he had some fun at Six Flag’s Magic Mountain in California. Justin was greeted by the usual swarm of female fans as he made his way around the park, going on rides and hanging out with Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.
Justin Bieber is a hugger. The 16-year-old musician, whose album My World 2.0 debuted at No. 1 on Billboard and has sold nearly 850,000 copies in just five weeks, doesn't shake hands--he goes straight for the full embrace. But Bieber is so small that unless you are a preteen girl (which you very well might be; most of his fans aren't old enough to drive), you'll have to bend down to greet him. Bieber has a warm smile and overgrown hair that he brushes forward into his face. His giant high-tops are always untied. He seems at first like nothing more than the latest in a line of manufactured teen idols--the Britneys, Justins, Mileys and Jonases that have dominated teenage hearts for the past decade. But beyond his looks and talent, Bieber is something else entirely: the first real teen idol of the digital age, a star whose fame can be attributed entirely to the Internet.
Justin Bieber is 16-years-old, one of the biggest stars on the planet, and strangely enough, the Canadian crooner comes off as remarkably grounded and collected. So, on this Mother's Day, PopEater had the opportunity to briefly chat with the teen star about his mom, their relationship and what it's like to have her on the road with him as he zigzags around the world -- dodging mobs of feverish girls everywhere he goes. That, and he also drops a tidbit about his romantic ways that's sure to only feed the frenzy.
What did you get your mom for Mother's Day?
I plan on making a special day for my mom - I already sent flowers. Maybe I'll send her to a spa for the day to pamper herself.
What's it like having your mother on the road with you?
It's great - she's a piece of home I get to take with me.
What's the best advice your mother ever gave you?
There are millions of girls always trying to get your attention. Are you the romantic type, buying flowers and such?
