Justin Bieber has announced that he is donating a portion of proceeds from his new acoustic LP to children's hospitals in America.

The U Smile singer has teamed up with charity, Children's Miracle Network, to launch the fundraising campaign, where the 16-year old will hand over cash made from the sales of My World Acoustic, when it is released tomorrow in the US.

Speaking of the campaign on Twitter, Justin explained: "I am in the position to give back thanks to my fans and God. I wrote (track) Pray thinking I wanted to help others and I feel like I have a responsibility to do so."

He added: "What is the point of doing all this if you can’t make a difference in others’ lives? This album is a gift to my fans and the money raised from it allows us all to help out."

Justin also revealed this week that he has joined the It Gets Better Project, by recording a video message for the anti-bullying campaign.

In the clip, the 16-year old speaks directly to the bullies, claiming it's "not cool" to pick on people and encourages those being bullied to seek help.

JB, who recently claimed he has been a victim of bullying himself, states: "I just wanted to say there's nothing cool about being a bully."

"If you're getting bullied, make sure to tell someone and, you know, it gets better and if you're a bystander, make sure to step in and, you know, help out."

The likes of US President Barack Obama, Katy Perry and Ke$ha have also recorded anti-bullying messages for the It Gets Better project.
