With a new year quickly approaching, we're doing more than stocking up on Champagne and re-remembering the lyrics to "Auld Lang Syne." We're also stopping to reflect on the year that was: and what a year 2010 was for fashion, music, and film. Ke$ha convinced us to throw away our toothbrushes; Justin Bieber melted 12-year-old hearts worldwide; and James Franco managed to juggle about nine careers at once. They (and 15 others) deserve to be recognized for their efforts! And so, without further ado, we are proud to present: Interview's Faces of 2010.

JUSTIN BIEBER

Admit it, just between the two of us: you love Justin Bieber, just like everyone else in America does. When Bieber put out his first full studio release, My World 2.0, in March, his fate was sealed: he was fated to become the teenybopper prince of 2010. This was also the year Bieber decided to tell us his story: at the tender age of 16, he released a memoir, First Step 2 Forever, in October. Plus, September brought the news that Bieber accounts for three percent of all Twitter traffic. Not too bad for a kid who got his start at local singing contests.

Quotable in 2010: "I haven't been in love yet. I've definitely loved girls. But it's kinda like puppy love. It's not the real thing, but that's what you think at the time," Bieber explained to Interview in April.

It's official: Justin Bieber's "Baby" is the most-watched music video on YouTube of 2010!

Production values, or the fact it's a cheesy dance video set in a bowling alley be damned, Canadians watched Justin Bieber's "Baby" more than any other music video on YouTube this year. And because 408,641,194 (...195, 196, 197) views isn't enough for pop's reigning elf, the lords of YouTube have made re-watching the clip even easier. YouTube has just launched a special site called Rewind, which features what we all love most at this time of year: endless lists.

Bieber appears three times on the Top 10 list of Canadians' most-watched music videos -- four if you stretch things to count his participation in that Young Artists for Haiti single, "Wavin' Flag." (You can check out the top 10 -- with embedded video -- below this blurb.)

But The Bieb's tiny-fisted stranglehold on the U.S. Top 10 is even tighter. The Stratford-born Bieber's "Baby" also appears on the U.S. list in the No. 1 slot, but Biebz scores four videos on that set of rankings.

There's plenty of overlap between what Canadian and U.S. YouTube users were watching in 2010, though (i.e. Bieber, Bieber and Bieber). Both Top 10s feature the same two Eminem hits ("Not Afraid," "Love the Way You Lie") as well as videos from Shakira ("Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)") and Rihanna ("Rude Boy"). However, Canadians apparently don't hit refresh on Lady Gaga videos with quite the same fervency as our neighbours. Though she was one of the most ubiquitous figures of 2010, and features with two videos -- "Alejandro" and "Telephone" -- on the U.S. Top 10, Lady Gaga doesn't rate on the Canadian list. Instead, we were watching videos by Usher ("OMG") and Katy Perry ("California Gurls"). If you don't stand at attention and sing "O Canada" the next time you see her lactate whipped cream, a baby seal will die.

  6. Justin Bieber – Never Say Never ft. Jaden Smith

Canadian Justin Bieber has made another big year-end list, this time making Twitter's top 10 trends of 2010.

The social networking site says 25 billion tweets have been sent this year so far, and the top trend was talk about the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

Bieber, who has more than 6.3 million followers on Twitter, was eighth on the overall list and first in the people category.

Bieber fans responded with outrage earlier in the year after his name stopped appearing on Twitter's list of trending topics. They called it a conspiracy, but Twitter explained that once a topic has become very popular it's harder to appear on the list.

The trending list identifies topics that are increasing in popularity.

So Bieber fans responded by finding another way to get their hero on the list. They continued to constantly tweet about him but referred to him as Bustin Jieber instead.

Last week, Google also announced that Bieber was one of the top searched terms worldwide.

Justin Bieber was the world's most-streamed music artist in 2010, according to numbers shared by video analytics company TubeMogul.

Bieber collected 1.07 billion streams through December 7. TubeMogul's figures include streams from YouTube and MySpace for the five biggest publishers of music video content (EMI, Hollywood Records, Sony Music, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group).

Bieber is common on YouTube's all-time list, too. His video for "Baby," featuring Ludacris, is YouTube's all-time most viewed video with 405 million streams through December 8. "Never Say Never," featuring Jaden Smith, is 16th with 118 million views and "Never Let You Go" is 20th with 106 million views.

Just as impressive as Bieber's dominance in 2010 streams is his market share. Bieber's 1.07 billion streams in 2010 represent an incredible 6.9 percent of the 14.8 billion videos streamed by the top five publishers this year. In other words, about one of every 14 streams for the top five publishers was a Bieber video.

In a distant second place in 2010 was Lady Gaga with just under 879 million streams and a 5.7 percent share of the top publishers' total streams. Her video for "Bad Romance" ranks second on YouTube's all-time list with 316 million views.

Eminem was third in 2010 with 709 million streams and a 4.6 percent share of the top publishers' total streams. He has two videos in YouTube's all-time top 10: "Love the Way You Lie" is fifth with 228 million streams and "Not Afraid" ranks seventh all-time at YouTube with 163 million.

Here's the entire top 10 list:

1. Justin Bieber: 1,071,022,618
2. Lady Gaga: 878,963,098
3. Eminem: 709,772,549
4. Rihanna: 521,468,879
5. Shakira: 404,118,932
6. Black Eyed Peas: 345,090,199
7. Miley Cyrus: 323,186,543
8. Taylor Swift: 241,860,978
9. Linkin Park: 186,235,206
10. David Guetta: 178,714,947

Russell Brand and Justin Bieber voted worst dressed

Beside agreeing that Katy Perry is hot, Russell Brand and Justin Bieber have another thing they share in common. The "Get Him to the Greek" actor and the "Baby" hitmaker were recently voted the Worst Dressed Men in Showbiz in WENN's online poll.

35-year-old Brand, who occasionally dons chest-revealing outfits, topped the poll with 31 per cent of votes. Meanwhile, although he is known for his legion of devotees, baseball cap-loving Bieber landed the second spot after earning 26 per cent of votes.

TV mogul Simon Cowell secured the third place with 21 per cent of votes, followed by "American Idol" alum Adam Lambert in fourth place after earning 16 per cent of votes. Rounding out the top five was "Love Lockdown" rapper Kanye West, who is known for his overly style.

The Worst Dressed Men in Showbiz poll came after the site released its Worst Dressed Females list on September 20. For her daring outfits, Lady GaGa earned 55 per cent of all votes, followed by Lindsay Lohan, Katy Perry, Rihanna and Gwen Stefani.

Whose tunes will be filling the Top 40 during the coming year? If Billboard is right, it'll be a bunch of pretty young things. The magazine just released their "21 Under 21: Music's Hottest Minors," list, and it's a mishmash of radio staples (Sean Kingston), fresh faces (Willow Smith) and a few we've never even heard of (Never Shout Never).

Country sweetheart Taylor Swift, 20, took the top spot on the list, with 16-year-old Justin Bieber hot on her heels at No. 2. With Bieber Fever sweeping the nation, we're a bit surprised JBiebs didn't claim No. 1. Though, we guess it's good to leave a little room for growth, right? Keep reading after the jump to see whose ranking surprised us the most!

Coming in at No. 4 (she beat out Miley!) is "Glee" newcomer Charice Pempengco, 18. Charice just started her run as Sunshine Corazon on the FOX series, but she's been singing her little heart out for a while. She was featured on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" two years ago, and her career has been full speed ahead ever since, especially with the success of her first album, Charice.

Gleeks definitely have a lot to look forward to this season with Charice guest-starring, but she isn't the only "Glee" star on the list: Chris Colfer, 20, placed at No. 13.

To see the entire list of young artists, including Taylor Momsen, Miranda Cosgrove and Nick Jonas, check out Billboard.com.
