"I think it's something of a changing of the guard in terms of a teen pop crush," said Billboard editor Ann Donahue. "Justin Bieber is definitely the next new thing and is overshadowing the Jonas Brothers." The Disney research says that 8 and 9 year old girls still love the Jonas Brothers, but 9 and 10 year old girls are embarrassed to talk about them.
While Bieber might have Usher (and Twitter) behind him, the JoBros have the Disney marketing machine on their side. When the newly revamped version of their show - now called "JONAS LA" hits screens on June 20, Disney execs hope that the Jonas Brothers will become cool again.
Hmm. Don't hold your breath, Mickey Mouse. "The Jonas Brothers aren't 'in' as much anymore," one young girl told Disney. Another said, "I became less of a fan when 'Twilight' came out, and now I'm more into Taylor Lautner."
If Disney fans are looking for "Twilight"-style romance, they're not going to get it with "JONAS LA." The Disney Channel -- which caters to 6-14 year olds -- allows only one kiss per season, so don't expect Joe, Nick, or Kevin to steam up your TV screens any time soon.

Bieber very good artist! Haters shut the fuck up!
..jonas brothers? they are sooo last year!!!...justin is the gonna be the star for the next millennium!!!...taylor is okay but justin always, always makes my day!!!...if only he could be mine..
@zarah
Keep telling yourself that, Zarah. But back in the day fans were saying the same thing about the Bros. And NSync, and the Backstreet boys, and Avril Lavigne, and Hillary Duff and Aaron Carter. However, everyone gets old. Everyones hair thins, everyone gets wrinkles.
Of course, there is one way that Bieber could have insane staying power. He takes the "I WILL BE YOUNG FOREVER!" route and becomes incredibly eccentric (which is inevitable. If you do that I'd say you are a tad odd to begin with.)
Now, 30, 40 years from now, when Justin is an old man who still (thanks to plastic surgery) looks like a 20 something year old. And all his fans are old, the new young people will have their own Justin Biebers and their own Jonas Brothers. What will their opinion of Bieber be? Well he sure can sing well. But they are far more interested in whoever the media is telling them to love. The same way the famous bands of the past were treated.
TL:DR. If Justin Bieber is the star of the millennium it won't be through the route the Beatles took. Age Elegantly. It will be through the route people like Michale Jackson took. Age oddly. Become quite the eccentric, but still be able to sing and dance incredibly.
