Sean Kingston takes Rap-Up TV behind the scenes of the sun-soaked video for his summer smash “Eenie Meenie” featuring Justin Bieber. The young stars get played by a P.Y.T. at their pool party in the Hollywood Hills, but have the last laugh. “We end up both at the same place at one time, and she’s left with a stupid look on her face,” says Kingston.

The singers immediately clicked when they first met. “I don’t really have that same chemistry with some celebrities. God just made it happen,” shares the “Beautiful Girls” hitmaker, who let Biebs drive his Ferrari in Miami (“He’s Justin Bieber, if he wrecks it, I’m sure a check won’t be a problem”) and even had some advice for the teen phenom. “Stay humble, keep God first. At the end of the day, you’re a role model, kids look up to you.”

'Bieber fever, man, call the doctor,' says Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice.

As Justin Bieber's My World 2.0 tops the Billboard albums chart, it's starting to feel like the whole world has a case of Bieber fever. And in addition to the legions of screaming teen girls who love the 16-year-old, young celebrities appear to be succumbing to Bieber's charms too.
"The Last Airbender" star Nicola Peltz gushed to MTV News about the pop star at the Kids' Choice Awards, where Bieber performed over the weekend. "I'm feeling the fever!" she said. Former "American Idol" contestant Allison Iraheta is also feeling hot for the teen star these days. "I have Bieber fever!" she shared. "Who doesn't?"
Selena Gomez, who once told us she feels like a "big sister" to Bieber, added that her loyalty runs very deep. But does she have the fever? "Of course! I do, absolutely, yes!"
Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice, whose new show "Victorious" premiered after the KCAs, added her name to the infected list. "Oh, man! Bieber fever, man, call the doctor. I got it bad!" she quipped.
Meanwhile, actress Jasmine Villegas, Bieber's love interest in the "Baby" music video, seemed to have a much milder case. "Of course, he's, like, a really cool friend of mine," she said. "But he's definitely super talented."
There have been some reported cases among male Bieber fans too. Boys Like Girls lead singer Martin Johnson said, "I think he's the man." And Bieber's "Eenie Meenie" collaborator, Sean Kingston, is happy that so many people have the fever these days. "That's my little bro," he said. "I'm gonna support him and be excited for him."
Bieber said he appreciates all the support his fans and other celebrities have shown him since being catapulted to superstar status. "It feels great," he said at the KCAs. I'm just happy to be here, happy to have so many supportive fans."

Hahaha, this is so funny.....

Haha oops!

Justin Bieber attended the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards on March 27th where he sported shades and walked the orange carpet.

Unbeknownst to him, Justin walked right in front of Reverend Run and his family taking advantage of a photo op.

Wonder if Justin realized after the fact – or if Rev Run’s family was so psyched to have a picture “with” Justin that they asked for a copy!
DISNEY DREAMING
More like the photographer was trying to take a picture of Justin and Reverend Run's family just happens to be standing there. hahaha. His son sure looks happy to see Justin though. :p

Justin Bieber debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with "My World 2.0," after shifting 283,000 copies in its first week. It's the teenager's second album and first No. 1. His first set, "My World," debuted at No. 6 upon its release last November. This week it rises to a new peak, scooting from No. 10 to No. 5 with 50,000 (up 50%).

At 16-years old, Bieber is the youngest solo male artist to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 since Aug. 24, 1963, when the then-13-year old Stevie Wonder spent one week at No. 1 with "Little Stevie Wonder/The 12 Year Old Genius." (Wonder recorded the album when he was 12, but released it after turning 13.) "My World 2.0's" opening frame is also Bieber's best sales week, surpassing his previous high, when the first "My World" sold 157,000 copies over Christmas week of 2009.

Thus, with albums at Nos. 1 and 5, Bieber is the first act to concurrently chart two albums within the top five of the Billboard 200 since the chart dated Oct. 9, 2004. That's when Nelly ranked at Nos. 2 and 4 with "Suit" and "Sweat," respectively. Nelly had bowed the simultaneously-released albums at Nos. 1 and 2 on the previous week's chart. The last time an act placed two albums in the top five that weren't concurrently released was on May 3, 2003. That week 50 Cent's first two major label releases -- "Get Rich Or Die Tryin'" and the CD/DVD combo "The New Breed" were at Nos. 5 and 2, respectively.

Uh oh. The sounds of a million Justin Bieber fans sobbing can be heard the world over as JB gets himself a girlfriend.

Justin was spotted leaving a Black Eyed Peas concert with his new girlfriend and seemed protective of her as he led her towards a waiting car. The pop star is the hearts desire of most teenagers and we know some of you will be upset that he is no longer on the market.

Don't worry though, teenage love never lasts long and we bet she won't be his 'one love, for sure' for very long...

How do you feel about the news?

I wasn't going to post this because the pictures have already been posted on this site but I decided to post it anyway so that you guys can hear what the demo (original) song "Somebody to Love" originally sounded like.

OMG this is so confusing!! Now TVGuide has just squashed the American Idol performance rumors.

Got Justin Bieber fever? We've got good and bad news.

Despite widespread speculation that the teen sensation will sing live on Wednesday's episode of American Idol — which features his mentor, Usher, as well as Diddy — TVGuide.com has learned that the "Baby" singer will actually tape a performance that will air later this season.

The 16-year-old singer will perform a medley of songs, "Baby" included. Meanwhile, Diddy and Dirty Money will take the stage on Wednesday night's Idol with their new single, "Hello Good Morning." Also look for this week's Idol mentor, Usher, whose new albumRaymond vs. Raymond dropped Tuesday, to perform his new single "OMG."

Usher's been flexing his executive muscle as of late. In late 2008, the singer inked promising pop act Justin Bieber to a joint venture between the Raymond-Braun Music Group and L.A. Reid's Island Def Jam.
Usher's instincts have seemingly paid off thus far. Bieber has released three Top 20 singles in the past year, including "Baby" featuring Ludacris. Furthermore, Bieber's debut, "My World" hit stores last Tuesday (March 23) and is projected to sell between 225 to 250, 000 copies in its first week. To let Usher tell it, it's just the beginning.
"Justin Bieber from the moment that I met him, I recognized that he was poised to be successful," Usher told BET.com. "He just had a star quality that just comes once in a lifetime, but more than anything it was the fact that he would develop to be such an incrdible talent. The fact that he can play keys, he can play guitar, he can play drums, and he taught himself, that just showed just how much determination he had as a musician. To be self-taught and to want to emulate the artists that he would sing their songs."
"It just said something about his character and what he would develop to become, so giving him the right records, giving him the right stages to perform on and introducing him in a way where people would be able to recognize his talent, it begins the story," he added. "What you're seeing right now is just the beginning of what it will be."

paige hurd
Paige Hurd is Justin Bieber’s love interest in his Never Let You Go video. I can bet you millions of girls worldwide are either really jealous of Hurd and/or are going to hate on Hurd for the next few weeks. Either way, Paige is going to hear some negativity. The goods news for her is that she, like Justin, may turn into an overnight much talked about individual.

Meet Paige Hurd, a young actress who is getting a big break as she plays Justin Bieber’s love interest in his Never Let You Go video. Hurd was born in Dallas, Texas on July 20, 1992, which makes her to be seventeen years of age. Sure she has played characters in movies such as Beauty Shop and Cradle 2 the Grave, but more notably she has starred in Everybody Hates Chris, the hit show produced by Chris Rock.

If you aren’t familiar with the young actress’ work or even know who she is, young people will sure know her now! Like it or not, Paige plays Bieber’s love in his Never Let You Go music video, which was filmed in the Bahamas at the Atlantis resort. Talk about a pretty hot locale for a couple of young teenagers. And speaking of sweet tender moments, Bieber and Hurd share many.

In the video, Bieber gets close to Hurd where the two almost share a kiss. Swoon. In addition, there are shots of the couple nuzzling up to each other and even holding hands. In case you were wondering, Never Let You Go is a song written by Bieber and co-written and produced by Johnta Austin and Bryan-Michael Cox.

Check out Paige Hurd as Justin Bieber’s love interest in the Never Let You Go video below. If you are a teenage girl crushing on the Bieb’s, I would advise you to look away upon moments of closeness between the two teens. This video could result in extreme jealousy. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

The Diary of Justin Bieber

I guess Canada and the rest of the world doesn't have to wait any longer to watch this. :)

Watch the full 4 part video of 'The Diary of Justin Bieber" here.

In response to screams of support at Saturday's show, Bieber says he's 'happy to have so many fans.'

The highly contagious Bieber fever — known to infect mostly teenage girls, and a few celebrities (minus Miley Cyrus) — was in full force in Los Angeles over the weekend. Some of Bieber's biggest fans were screaming their undying devotion to the star at the UCLA Pauley Pavilion, where he performed for the Kids' Choice Awards.

"It feels great. I'm just happy to be here, happy to have so many supportive fans," Bieber told MTV News on the orange carpet, just moments before he hit the stage to sing his hit "Baby."

"Tonight, I'm performing, and I don't know, I'm just gonna show everybody a great time," he said. "We just recently started performing with a band, so that was big stuff. ... We're adding a lot of new elements. It's going to be fun."

Among the A-listers who may be coming down with a little bit of the fever is Snoop Dogg, who called the 16-year-old "kind of cool," despite the fact that Snoop's Malice in Wonderland and Bieber's My World 2.0 both dropped last week.

"I met him at 'We Are the World.' It was amazing," Bieber said of Snoop. "He was a really cool guy. We just basically [talked about] like [how] his daughter's a fan and stuff."

Woohooo! He makes me wanna get down and dance!

Everyone knows Justin is hugely talented but it takes a well organized marketing plan to make him this huge this fast. The following is a long article but definately a must read.
image from www.bsckids.comJustin Bieber mania has arrived.  With the release of his new album, My World 2.0, and a sure thing #1 debut, many people are wondering how it happened.  Teen phenomenons can certainly happen fast, but rarely without the help of a Disney show in recent years.  By my rough calculations, after the first week sales of his new album are accounted for, Justin will havegrossed approximately $15 million in total recorded music sales, not including ringtones, streaming revenue, T-shirts or posters in less than 9 months.  And that’s just in the United States.  For a music business in “trouble” and an artist aimed clearly at teenagers and below, this is a success, especially because the train is really just leaving the station.

So the question is, how did this become so successful so quickly?  There’s been plenty of other artists who have been released in the same timeframe that can’t count this level of success in this short of a period.  What made it work?  There are a lot of specific elements in each song which I’ll detail shortly, but readers of Futurehit.DNA know the answer lies in Chapter 7 of the book.
RELEASE MORE SONGS MORE OFTEN

Look at this time frame of songs being released:
  • APRIL 2009 – Release of “One Time” single
  • JULY 2009 – Release of “One Time” video
  • AUGUST 2009 – Release of “Favorite Girl” YouTube Video w/Taylor Swift
  • OCTOBER 2009 – Release of “One Less Lonely Girl” single + video
  • NOVEMBER 2009 – Release of My World 8-song Album
  • JANUARY 2010 – Release of “Baby” single
  • FEBRUARY 2010 – Release of “Baby” video
  • MARCH 2010 – Release of My World 2.0 Album
Did you get all that?  In a world where many people are in the game of milking singles for all they’re worth, Justin just kept releasing content.  A new official video has been released every 3 months.  Two album releases.  18 total tracks have come out.  All within 9 months.  Considering that most artists are at a pace that’s nearly twice that, it’s not surprising that Justin runs rings around them.
And this all occurred by focusing on the fan and constantly feeding them content rather than just chart positions.  The first two singles didn’t crack the Top 15 on the Billboard Hot 100.  And Justin’s biggest hit, “Baby”, reached #3.  Meanwhile, #1 songs are regularly engaging in much less commerce.
And Justin’s songs regularly engage in a Futurehit.DNA formula to engage his young audience:
SHORT INTROS (Chapter 1)
image from farm3.static.flickr.com“One Time” has a 7 second intro.  “One Less Lonely Girl” has no intro.  “Baby” has a positively long 14 second intro.  Yet both “One Time” and “Baby” make use of Justin utilizing an “ay” and “woah”  vocal during the intro.  Since Justin has a young higher pitched male voice, one could make the argument that he is creating a distinctive vocal right from the get-go so you know who’s singing.
LONGER SONGS (Chapter 2)
Justin Bieber’s songs are hardly epic with lengths of the singles ranging from 3:30 to 3:50.  However, considering that Ke$ha’s big hits don’t even reach 3:30, he’s definitely competitive in his category.  Regarding length, Justin’s songs actually fall right into the range of the majority of Top 100 songs at the moment.
CHORD CHANGES (Chapter 3)
There’s not a lot of chord changes going on in Bieber’s hits. However, he puts the dramatic changes where it counts.  I often talk about the need to change things up around the two minute mark, and Bieber does this regularly.  In “One Time”, the song drops all instruments except drums giving Justin a moment to sing acapella, which given his talent is very distinct.  In “One Less Lonely Girl”, a very distinct key change occurs.  And in “Baby”, there is a significant drop out towards the end of the 2nd verse that’s attention grabbing that then leads into the Ludacris verse.  Nothing earth-shattering, per se, but all effective in engaging the listener at a time that counts.
REPETITION (Chapter 10)
If there’s anything that occurs in Bieber’s songs, it’s repetition.
And to hit the teen and tween market, it’s almost too obvious that this technique would be utilized.  The title of “One Time” is repeated 32 times in the song, with the word “one” used an additional 17 times.  A long song title doesn’t prevent “One Less Lonely Girl”  being repeated 39 times.  For “Baby”, they probably went for the world record with 55 mentions of the title.  Within the rest of the songs, there are numerous other instances of repetition to just add to the effectiveness of repetition.
Again, all of these elements and more contribute to the phenomenal success of Justin Bieber.  Towering above them all, however, is the super serving of the audience thru constant releases.  This is an element that can occur on any scale with any style of artist.  The more you keep momentum within your audience and the more you keep them engaged, the more likely you will succeed.  If more artists followed this formula, a $15 million US gross for recorded music would be a more regular occurrence.

28 March 2010

Here are 30 things we learned about Justin Bieber in the 30-minute "Diary of Justin Bieber" special on MTV. It chronicles his time in France, including a possible broken arm from some pushy French fans.

  • Bieber loves French girls (but not because of their boobs).
  • Bieber is on a mission to thank all his fans who have made his incredible ride a reality.
  • Being only 16 years old, Bieb has to take time to do school every day.
  • His subjects are algebra, history, and biology, but he takes time to learn about places he travels to, like studying the Arc de Triomphe while in Paris.
  • J-Bieb likes to smell pizza. Like physically sniff a slice.
  • The spry little fella can hurdle a street pylon.
  • He doesn't watch anything but R-rated movies.
  • Bieb can make a half-court basketball shot.
  • Kenny the security guard wakes Justin up in the morning.
  • Bieber sleeps in a white shirt and white shorts.
  • That awesome hair of his just gets blow-dried and then magically falls forward like that.
  • When jumping on a bed, Bieber actually looks like he is only 12 years of age.
  • Bieber actually knows some French. WE suspect it's because he's from Canada.
  • But he reveals that it's also because it's his grandparents' first language, which is perhaps an extension of the being-from-Canada thing, but cool nonetheless.
  • Justin has a team of guys working around him who beat on him like a little brother.
  • Bieb can hold his own though, especially since he kicks his marketing manager Mike in the crotch (by accident).
  • Bieber's mom Pattie looks like he's 25 and a French radio host calls her a MILF.
  • Bieber can be a little punk just like any other teenager.  When he jokes that his tutor should get back in her cage and his mom tells him to apologize and he won't.
  • Justin took the time to sing for the crowd outside his gig who couldn't get in.
  • Bieb doesn't respond well to Europe's lack of air conditioning, but he soldiers on signing autographs in a crowded mall anyway.
  • There are so many crying girls, which befuddles both us and the Bieb.
  • If you push Justin Bieber around, he'll stop signing autographs. But he will perform anyway because that's how he rolls.
  • He prays before he performs.
  • The sea of camera phones and video cameras during a live concert are this generation's lighters.
  • Bieber makes up for kicking his marketing manager Mike in the crotch by letting him come onstage and play the guitar. That seems like a good trade-off.
  • Bieb's got some basketball moves, especially for a little guy.
  • Bieb's best friend is Ryan from back home in Canada. Ryan is a little further on the road to puberty than Justin.
  • According to the security guys, Bieb says his fans are his "spinach."
  • Bieb denies ever saying that.
  • He finishes by saying, "Not too long ago I was just posting videos on YouTube for my family and friends. This has been an incredible experience, an incredible journey. It's weird to think that this is only the beginning."

OMG, look at Gather.com's reaction to Miley Cyrus saying publicly that she is not a fan of Justin Bieber:

MILEY CYRUS NOT JUSTIN BEIBER'S TYPE
Miley Cyrus has a big mouth. Seriously. Have you seen that thing? Big mouth and big chompers.

Apparently, such attributes have led to many unbecoming things about fellow musicians and the like coming out of it recently, and Justin Bieber is the latest victim of her need to express her opinions. When asked about the big-time teen and tween sensation, she didn't hold back, according to Celebuzz:

"I'm not necessarily a fan. I don't listen to that kind of music. I like Kurt Cobain. [He] is like my dream boyfriend."

Interesting choice of boyfriends considering the guy was so angst-ridden that he took his own life. Also, does anyone actually believe she sits around listening Nirvana albums all day? Smells like teen fiction to me.

Before this latest bomb drop, she spouted off about the evils of the internet (when, in fact, she was the one who didn't know how to refrain from over-sharing), country music, her dislike forTwilight, and the worst offense of all? Thom Yorke of Radiohead wouldn't do a meet-and-greet with her at the Grammys, and she was so devastated, she vowed to "ruin them." Someone needs to seriously get this woman a big plate of shut-the-eff-up. On the other hand, at least she doesn't say "No comment." You gotta give her that.

Maybe they're being a bit too harsh but I do agree with what is being said about Miley. We all know that she's not one to hold back (Demi? Selene? Are you there?).

Everyone can have different tastes but when you are a public figure and you know a camera is on you you should not say you are not a fan of someone's music. It's a bit rude right?

I bet you she is lying. hehe. I bet you she does like JB's music. How could you not??? She just wants to get back at him for the jabs he through at her recently. I mean she did also say publicly that she never heard any of Jay's music. Now come on. Are we supposed to believe that? I certainly don't.

(Click here to see the video)

I was watching some tv and found this bit of JB news by accident :)  Justin is scheduled to perform on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Thursday April 1, 2010.

And for those of you in the USA, make sure to catch "The Diary of Justin Bieber" on MTV tonight at 7:30 Eastern Time. (Everyone in Canada has to wait until April 7th to watch this on MTV Canada.)

Justin Bieber
Teen superstar Justin Bieber delighted the fan with an appearance on the orange carpet of the 23rd Annual Kids’ Choice Awards held at the UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles on Saturday (March 27). The most famous 16 year-old wasn’t nominated for any awards last night… WHAT? NO way!! If Justin was nominated for “Favorite Male Singer”, he would have won easily.
