Justin Bieber might be one of a handful of pop stars to make a cameo on "CSI," but he has certainly left his mark on the cast and the crew of the hit CBS crime drama. When Bieber hits the small screen Thursday night (September 23) for his performance as Jason McCann, he will certainly leave fans stunned by his acting chops, one of the show's producers told MTV News

"I thought that he did a really good job. We only had Justin for a day, for 10 and a half hours, and he had a lot of work crammed into those 10 and a half hours," executive producer Carol Mendelsohn said about the first of Bieber's two appearances on the show. "And he had one super big scene, and the scene was an interrogation scene in the police department with [actor] George Eads, and George actually took Justin under his wing."

Why did the veteran "CSI" actor feel that Biebs was worthy of his mentorship? "George said that when he was just starting out, Tom Selleck took him under his wing, so I think he tried to return that kindness, and he really had some time to work the material," she explained. "We built in some time, and I thought that scene was really good, and Justin had a couple of scenes where he didn't have a lot of dialogue or no dialogue and then two pretty heavy scenes."

Noting that Bieber did a "really good job" with the heavier work, Mendelsohn added that Bieber has some acting chops. "It's hard for any accomplished, mature actor to come on the set and fall right into character and do your work, so kudos to Justin," she said.

Justin Bieber in talks to star in Will Smith's new movie

The Baby hitmaker met Smith while recording Never Say Never - the theme song for The Karate Kid - with the film's star Jaden Smith, and he took the opportunity to express his interest in acting.

And, after shooting an appearance on TV drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, he has a "top secret" development deal with producer and star Smith.

Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, confirms the 16 year old is working on a feature film produced by Smith and his company, Overbrook.

Braun tells U.S. magazine Teen Vogue, the film is "a fictional piece that may have some similarities to his (Bieber's) life."

It is expected to begin production next spring or summer (11).

'Back To The Future' remake a big possibility if Justin can act

Justin Bieber is one of those celebrities that you either love or loathe. While most people old enough to drive seem to find the You Tube star turned pop singer Bieber to be annoying, his huge base of younger fans has made him a star.

Which might be why his newest rumored project might be taking on the Michael J. Fox role in a new reboot of the "Back To The Future" movie franchise.

Several British tabloids are reporting that Bieber is being considered for the starring role in the remake, assuming that "he is capable of acting at that level." When Fox took on the original role, he had a hit TV series ("Family Ties") and several hit movies under his belt.

Bieber is younger than Fox was when he starred in the first "Future" movie, and if took the role it would be written to reflect his younger age. "The most important part of the film is the time travel aspects," said one unnamed film executive. "In fact, some of the plot works better with a younger character."

The biggest problem with the idea might be that the three "Future" films are well-made and fondly remembered by audiences. Even if the remake does make it to the screen, odds are that it will face the same box-office fate as the recent remake of "The Karate Kid."

With a 3-D movie about his life in the works, fans will get a sneak peek at Justin Bieber's acting abilities when he makes his network TV acting debut on the "CSI" season premiere next month. It turns out, Justin, a longtime fan of the show, really wanted a part on the series.

"I got a call that Justin really was a fan of 'CSI' [and] that's all I have to hear, and so it just was perfect timing," executive producer Carol Mendelsohn told MTV News about casting the singer in the September 23 episode. "Justin was looking to make his dramatic acting debut. We had an incredible role for a young actor in [our season premiere], so it just seemed like the perfect marriage."

Bieber showed up on set for one day of work, and he managed to impress everyone in the cast with his work ethic. He is part of one very juicy story arc that will likely have viewers coming back later in the season to see what happens next. (Justin shoots again later on in the season for an episode set to air in February.)

"There was one day that Justin had available and that was the day he came to 'CSI' and filmed his four scenes for the premiere," she continued. "We will introduce his character in the premiere in September and then it will be a character arc and we will see him again playing Jason McCann again in February."

In a photo tweeted by Bieber, his character is seen handcuffed. So why the cuffs? Well, we got some answers from Mendelsohn.

"He's a troubled young man, raised in the foster-care system, whose hard-luck life has left him scarred and angry," she explained. "When we first meet Jason, we meet him at a community center where he's giving a testimonial in honor of a man who takes Jason and his older brother in when they had no one else, and that man is now in jail and Jason's brother is out for revenge and looking for payback.

"And the CSIs are looking for the brother and Jason is caught in the middle," Mendelsohn teased. "At the end of the episode, we're left with the question: Is Jason a good kid stuck in a bad situation or is Jason a bad kid hiding behind his cuteness? You can see why Justin was such a perfect choice to play this role. ... It's an explosive story."

JSCKiDS has just reported that JB might guest star on Selena Gomez's Wizard of Waverly Place but I don't think it's going to happen.

They posted this video which I know is an old video from January 2010 and since then there has been no news further of this happening.

What better way for Justin Bieber to begin his transition from floppy-haired pop star to Serious Grown-up™ than by appearing on a CBS crime procedural that dispatches with its guest stars in the most graphic ways imaginable?

On Thursday, CBS said that Mr. Bieber has been cast in the season premiere of “C.S.I.”, which is scheduled for Sept. 23. According to a news release, the 16-year-old singer will play Jason McCann, “a troubled teen who is faced with a terrible decision regarding his only brother—a decision that leads him into an explosive confrontation with the CSIs.”

The release added that this appearance is “the beginning of an emotional story that will conclude later in the season,” suggesting that Mr. Bieber will return to induce further squeals from Laurence Fishburne, Jerry Bruckheimer and the whole “C.S.I.” gang in subsequent episodes.

A couple of people have pointed out this video to me telling me that they think Justin is crying in his DOWN TO EARTH performance in Cincinnati.

I know I'm probably gonna upset some of you (especially those who cried too when they saw this video) but I don't think he is crying. :p

Judge yourself:

You can see that he gets "emotional" perfectly at the point when the singing in the song ends and the guitar solo comes on which was meant to give him time to go backstage and change for the next set. This happens at all concerts. So it wasn't that he left the stage because he was crying but because he had to. Can anyone who went/going to his concert confirm that he always leaves the stage after performing DOWN TO EARTH?   If this is the only time then he might have been crying but I highly doubt it.

So did the song bring him to tears? Nah. Should JB win an award for his acting? Yes. :P

If you don't agree then feel free to leave a comment and tell us what you think.

Justin Bieber as Alex Van Helsing
As vampires are the hot stuff on TV and films (think Twilight, Vampire Diaries and True Blood), it will definitely be phenomenal if the teen pop sensation Justin Bieber will join the bandwagon. Well, he’s got that Robert Pattinson swagger in him, alright. I guess producers are now grabbing their idea machines right now to bank in Bieber in some vampire-related gig.

Well, there’s one of our readers who tipped us that Justin Bieber “might” just be doing a famous fictional vampire hunter in movies. Ricky Anillo chimed in that: “I heard from someone at Harper that Justin Bieber is up for the part of Alex Van Helsing, teen vampire hunter from the book series”. That might be a cool idea if it is really confirmed, ain’t that right, Bieber fans?

Just like the Stephanie Meyer books, Vampire Rising series by Jason Henderson has a lot of cult following. Alex Van Helsing is a 14 year old decendant of a vampire hunter. He’s trapped in a boarding school near Lake Geneva in Switzerland. This is where his adventure began as he uncovers a secret school for vampires. That’s kind of Harry Potter-meets-Twilight, huh?

Are you digging the storyline for this supposedly Justin Bieber flick in the future?
