I think all the pieces of the puzzle are coming together. He completely ignored her while Ryan came in to save the day by trying to make a joke. I think we have our answer.

why would they wanna keep it a secret if its real! I mean they know that finnaallly the truth will be revealed!
they should just tell. it nalt to be ashamed of is it? im happy for them both. He should not of just ignored that person, he could of just sed, maybee... y'no? not be so rudee.
