Justin just lost both awards he was up for at the BET Awards. He lost the BET Fandemonium award to Chris Brown which is no biggie. Despite what happened with Rihanna, Chris Brown is still a very popular guy among the hip hop and r&b community.
What is a major surprise and has Beliebers starting to talk is how Justin could lose the New Artist of the Year award to Nicki Minaj. Before the award ceremonies started, Justin was leading the votes with 54% while Nicki was at 27%. It wasn't even close. And yet somehow Nicki's name was called at the awards ceremony.
A little fishy don't you think? Maybe someone decided they didn't want to give the award to a white boy from Canada.

The BET Awards started as an award show honoring black people who werent getting the recongnition they deserve on like MTV awards etc. The fact that justin was even nominated surpised alot of us and I'm very glad for him but i dont think you
realize how big Nicki Minaj is right now in hip hop which to me is why she won the award because of her great success this year and she hasnt even released an album. But i dont think you should use those votes to claim there is a conspiracy theory against him. Besides the votes werent even used to determine the winner, there were only a couple of fan-voted awards and best new artist was NOT one of them. if you looked at the print at the bottom of the voting page it said all votes cast other than the VIEWERS CHOICE were unofficial and dont reflect the show. While I personaly hoped Justin would win, I'm glad justin was nominated and congrats to Nicki Minaj, she deserved recongnition for her sucess this past year.

It clearly says "Best New Artist" with JB clearly ahead. How do you explain that?
It doesn't matter that it says all votes cast are unofficial but they wouldn't put it up on their site unless it's a very good approximation at the very least. In this case it wasn't even close.

Get real kids. If you kids were knowledgeble enough to understand corporate business, you'd know that BET is owned by white people. Therefore BET is for white people to make off of black people. <-- that's a reality check for most of you , i'm sure.
Why do you think the "music" being played on BET is nothing but repetitive, generic, trash with no meaning?? Because the white people don't want blacks to start thinking for themselves. So they play hypnotic, catchy, club songs that don't say anything intelligent. I'm black and it's a sad day when Justin Bieber has more soul than half of the black artists out today. To find today's black artists with soul, you have to dig through the whipcream on top to get to the coffee underneath, metaphorically speaking.
