Justin Bieber has said that he could never consider dating actress Hailee Steinfeld because there is too much of an age gap between the pair.
Bieber met the True Grit star while they presented an award together at this month's Golden Globes.
Talk show host Jay Leno questioned Bieber about their meeting during the teenager's recent appearance on The Tonight Show.
"She's really nice and really talented," Bieber said. "I think she's cute."
However, when pressed by the host about his affection for Steinfeld, Bieber insisted that he was too old for the actress.
"She's 14, I'll be 17 in less than a month," Bieber said.
Bieber was appearing on the show to promote his new film Never Say Never, due to be released in cinemas on February 11.

Okay, bieber get your facts straight...i love you, but like a month ago a interviweer asked if you would ever date a 13 year old. You said YES, because Romeo was 16 and Juliet was 13 and they fell in love....Haliee is 14, so why not her. Honestly i would rather him date her than Selena Gomez

I think he didnt say she was like "Gorgeous" or "Beautiful" because he didnt want to start rumors. Yeah He says that kind of stuff about Beyonce' and Taylor Swift cause they are so out of his league its not ever funny. And Selena is his rumored GF and he only calls her cute
justin could have changed his mind, although honestly, i think he only said he'd date a 13 year old not to disappoint his fans. (akthough... i've never actually *seen* that interiew. only read about it in the bieber facts). i'm 18 so it's not a problem. haha. selena also said justin was too little and she's dating him now. so yeah.
that sucks! i really love the hailee/justin couple haha. they looked so good together, i think its cute when the girl is taller than the guy <3. and although hailee's taller she just seems more child-like and innocent-looking than selena, who looks 15 and 35 at the same time. and hailee is gorgeous, in a unique way. selena's not as pretty as she was a couple of years ago, and she has a kinda boring beauty anyway.
