JUSTIN BIEBER stunned organisers at a charity gala on Sunday (24Oct10) by donating tickets to his sold-out Los Angeles concert to underprivileged kids.
The teen singing sensation was a guest of honour at Variety's Power of Youth event in Hollywood and was celebrated for his work with Pencils of Promise, an organisation that helps build schools.
The 16-year-old star took the opportunity to show off his generosity by handing over hundreds of tickets to his sold-out concert in L.A. on Monday (25Oct10) to five good causes, including Pencils of Promise, GirlUp and All It Takes.
The passes will be handed out to children who receive support from the various charities - and Bieber can't wait to perform for the special crowd.
In a series of posts on his Twitter.com page, he writes:
Best part was I got to surprise the charities being honoured. My show tomorrow at the Staples Center in L.A. is sold out but we saved 500 tickets to give 100 each to each charity being honoured to give to kids in need and let them have a fun night they deserve. I know what it's like to have some tough times so I hope those tickets make u kids coming smile a little. Gonna be a fun show.
